The Story After a young woman is brutally assaulted and shot and her friend is killed, the detective in charge of the case, Dave Kominek (John Corbett), vows to the survivor that he will find her attacker. Beth (Sara Canning) is shaken by the incident and as the film plays out she bonds with Kominek, going so far as to hang out at his office. Her life has been turned upside down by the vicious attack and his office is the only place where she feels absolutely safe. In a short time Kominek realizes Beth’s attacker is a serial killer. He brings together officers from the different jurisdictions to work together to catch this vicious animal. They decide that the next time there is an attack, they will immediately set up a roadblock and check everyone leaving the specific area. Although some of the officers scoff at that plan, closing a bunch of off ramps on the I-5 presents a challenge that can only be filled by a lot of manpower, they agree to try it. SOURCE
